Details:
The Finca Can Escandell des Cotxu is located between San Juan and San Miguel and can be reached from the road that leads to Benirràs. It is located in the middle of a nature preserve with wide vistas of the hills and mountains in the area. It is a dream of rural Ibiza in the middle of blooming fields.
The property is 24,000 m2. The house, annexe, pool and garden are located on a level expanse of 10,000 m2. The remainder of the property is made up of restored natural-stone terraces and leads down into the valley, where in winter and spring a brook makes its way to the sea.
The house was rebuilt anew 9 years ago. It has two storeys with a total living area of 450 m2. On the ground floor are a large eat-in kitchen, a utility room, a living room with arched ceiling and fireplace, a bedroom and a bathroom, as well as a »plant room« for the heater and water heater.
On the first floor there is a »children’s wing« with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a covered terrace, as well as the »parent’s suite« with living room, bedroom and bathroom, a large covered terrace and two balconies.
The property also has its own well, is connected to the electricity grid and has an ADSL connection.
The annexe includes an 80-m2 storage building (which can easily be converted into a guest house), a large covered seating area and horse stable with two stalls and a feed storage room. The riding field is surrounded by a wooden fence.
This is all surrounded by a lush Mediterranean garden. The international school is just 15 minutes away by car.
The house is in a wonderful condition and has been featured several times in the Spanish Magazine Hogares. It has a very special atmosphere, especially warm and inviting.
Location & surrounding area:
San Miguel may be considered as the gateway to the not so developed and wild north coast of the island. From far away you can see the white village with its church, built between the XIV and the XVIII century on top of a hill, providing an impressive view of the landscape as far as the ancient harbour below, nowadays the popular village of Puerto de San Miguel.
